Now that it's been out for a few days how did everyone feel about it?

I felt like it was on par with the original. The only thing I disliked was too much pinky and the brain. Hopefully season 2 brings back some other skits between the Warners.

If we keep getting silly ass one-offs like Starbox and Cindy and The Incredible Gnome In People's Mouths, I'll never miss any of the other characters.

It is good but rough. I really hope it improves in the next season and beyond. It is funny I was afraid the show would become less political and play it safe but actually feels more political and the original series has episodes where a flame watched actual historical events that shaped our nations politics happen. And I am not even attacking the new show. Just shocked really. I expected them to tone things down and instead they kicked it into overdrive.

Sometimes though the message is a bit too heavy handed like that gun control episode.

Now mainly I want Slappy and the good feathers to return. The rest of the segments I didn't care too much about. There is a lot of stuff that can be done with Slappy in 2020.

dot - this is the last time i take part in a thinly veiled sketch.

i also like that they havent lost their talent and putting in adult jokes that would go over kids heads

brain - lets give the people what they want
pinky - ok but only if its tasteful and makes sense for my character

yakko - vollyball is the sport for tall people who cant dribble, and next is the high jump which is now legal in 13 states

No but they didn't have a problem with really sexy female characters on occasion. Such as the design for Marie Antoinette. The show aims for adults more then kids now (but still assumes both are watching) which gives the show mire freedom then a dedicated kids show bit sadly still had to tone down such behavior.

Agreed. Loved The exchange between Pinky and The Brain in the first episode over what the internet is used for. The writing is still great.

hello nurse could have still worked had they focused more on how no one takes her seriously despite being more competent than anyone around her just because of her looks.

but its not just hello nurse thats gone they got rid of all the old characters except pinky and the brain and ralph

All the original voice actors have returned but it has been over twenty years so the characters all sound older.

I've only seen the first 4 episodes so far. Its still good, but not as good as the original series.

If the original were a 10, this would be a 7. I'd say anyone who enjoyed the original should watch it, but go in knowing it is a little less than.

I appreciate the self-aware humor. Some of the political gags are funny, like the derpy Trump cyclops, but they are getting a little tiresome every episode.

I miss the sketches referencing or parodying old Hollywood. And I miss the rest of the cast, particularly the Slappy Squirrel bits.

The art style is also kind of jarring. Everything looks too sharp and bright.

There's an episode that addresses this and there are rumors of more of the extended cast for Season 2. Nothing confirmed, though.
