Before it was cool, like 2010-2011 or maybe even earlier. I remember commenting on one of Ephemeral Rifts earlier videos and he replied to me and even recognized me as one of the users that had been subscribed to his channel since shortly after its inception. Thats how few people followed him at the time, lol.

Way before people even knew what the hell ASMR even was.
Like there was this girl in my english class in high school (20+ years ago) who had this really delicate soft speaking voice and when she read aloud from the textbook in class, i got 'the tingles'. Edit: I realized the topic title said 'watching' . Call the above 'listening' --- 'We're not gonna make it, are we? People i mean.' 'It's in your nature to destroy yourselves.' ... When Vtubers started having ASMR streams, but I didn't get into them much until Sister Claire started having ASMR streams.

Never have. With my WoW background my first thought is always ASMR = Ask Mr Robot so Im always initially confused when I see it mentioned then I remember what it is. >_>
