I was really underwhelmed by it. I feel like I want more crazy superhero shenanigans in a real world setting and the politics that would arise as a result both with the heroes themselves power tripping and the normies trying to deal with these godlike beings causing havoc.

Instead it just became a cliche drama story mostly focused on like three of the characters and how they're sad and empty and the whole superpowers thing is almost incidental.

IMO anyway. Granted I haven't watched season 2. Maybe it gets more interesting.

I thought it was great. It's a lot of fun and the political parallels are on point, although maybe a bit too much on the nose.
