Usually the case. I had an "active" family and I always stayed away from certain stuff cause I knew there was no way in hell I was going to prison for someone else's mistake. I didn't wanna have to snitch out my own family of it came down to it. I'm also prime real estate for people in prison.

And see this who things with snitches have changed. A snitch was someone involved in the criminal acts getting off by telling on everyone else. How it switched the general population is something I don't understand. (not this switch was done before most of our times, I am not suggesting the change is new)
