Fox News spent about 15 years turning her into the boogeyman of the "Left" because they knew she was a solvent candidate for the future.

That's it. Most of the criticisms about her are almost entirely fabricated, or at worst, about as bad as any other candidate who runs a large organization and had a long political career.

Hilary was so much worse at actually handling controversy. She was being dragged through the mud on Benghazi and email junk for years because she couldn't shake it.

Biden doesn't have anything that bad, or if he does he's done a much better job of pushing it away.

Also Trump having 4 years of sucking is probably giving Biden a lot of points Hilary didn't have access to.

People didn't feel as obligated to vote for her. People may not like Biden much but, after four years of Trump, people didn't really have a choice so they just shut up and and voted.

Hillary, for better or worse, brought a whole lot more baggage to the election than Biden, her campaign was terribly run and yeah, there were absolutely votes who didn't like her because she was a woman.

What was suppose to do in either of those situations? There is a certain class of people in our society that don't really have a standard for proof about stuff, and when they're fueled by a concerted propaganda effort from the largest cable news network which has an ideological state in pushing a false narrative, there is no quenching the fire.

Notice how none of the other private email servers have caused any outrage since they were reported? That's because no other outlets have both the same low ethics and dogmatic ideology to push such a ridiculous story 7 days a week.

The integrity of the Fourth Estate is constantly being undermined by a specific media group. Well, you could probably say it's two or three groups now, what with Newsmax and OANN gaining traction in the wake of the Trump-ification of the Right.

She was vilified for 25 years. Biden was basically the Senate's everyman for his entire career. Kind of hard to transition the latter to the former on shortish notice.

And while the Biden camp had a very noticeable shortcoming with Latino outreach, they had great outreach in the Midwest, South, and among African Americans, the first two od reach Clinton sucked at.

That's part of the reason, yes. Turns out people don't like being undervalued. The DNC ran on a smug, negligent campaign because they figured the opposing nominee had no chance in hell of winning.
She unfortunately did underestimate how sexist and stupid America is.

The margin in Florida was 5 times closer than Georgia though. With the nationally depressed turn out among African American voters in 2016, what makes you think Georgia was even remotely in play?

Also worth noting 2016 wasn't much longer after the Flint Michigan issue with the tainted drinking water, where Obama pretended to drink Flint water and said things were alright. And then did basically nothing to fix the water issue.

That was almost definitely a major reason Michigan went to Trump.

She always went the extra mile to be petty and unlikeable. Like coming out and saying nobody likes Bernie, always hurling toxic insults, and wondering out loud if shed even support Bernie over Trump. Snobby about her Wall Street ties and her authority in the party.

Sticks up for people like Harvey Weinstein, had Ghislaine Maxwell at family events. So lots of ammo for Clinton empire conspiracy bros.

Sometimes its not entirely everyone elses fault for everyone not liking you.

Biden just flashes the veneers, invests in small talk with literally everyone he encounters for decades, and always reminds people that his whole family died. Yeah hes been really racist too, but libs dont care and being Obamas sidekick worked wonders for his image.

Biden coasted in on four years of Trump hate, and feel-good nostalgia for the Obama years. After 4 years of absolute mess, that was all that was needed.

Hillary had way more stacked against her. There was two and a half decades of media painting her as a power-crazed megalomaniac (ironic, considering who was elected). She drew a lot of heat from the controversies surrounding her under Obama. She had a spotty political record that made her unappealing to progressives. She has VERY obvious ties to wall street and has spent years cozying up to corporations and banks. She neglected to campaign in key states. And unlike Biden, she didn't have the benefit of 4 years worth of Trump to convince people to overlook all that.

It didn't help that she made herself look very disingenuous, cloying, and unlikable. "Pokemon go to the polls" (read: "Greetings, fellow kids"). "Basket of Deplorables." Hell, even her campaign tagline "I'm with Her" fed directly into that "power-grabbing delusion of grandeur" image she'd been associated with for years. She spent all her time campaigning in coastal, liberal areas. She sold herself as an elite candidate for elite voters, at a time when populist disdain for the elite was palpable. Theright were sick to death of elitist liberals, bernie's base was sick to death of elitists in general.

And yes, there were sexists who didn't vote for her because she's a woman. Just like there were racists who didn't vote Obama because he's black. They exist. But let's not pretend Hillary didn't have a lot more working against her than just that. For better or worse, she is and has been probably the most pilloried and disliked career politician for over twenty years; the DNC deciding to run her was a terrible idea from the beginning.

People were so psychotically obsessed with getting Trump out of office that they were ready to ignore all of Biden's flaws and would viciously harass anyone on the left criticizing him or suggesting to actually demand anything better from him rather than exclusively attacking Trump.
