But it was a chore just having one extra account and eventually I closed it and was just more careful on my main. It boggles my mind how people can have dozens or even more alts. One particularly egregious user named Scotty possibly has hundreds. And it's not just that but many of them are very active with tons of posts it's not even like just spares you whip out for trolling or if your main is in trouble. The guy is a total lunatic and single handedly ruined an entire board (DB) with his ridiculous antics. What you're saying there is no longer applicable. You can get away with all kind of shite now. My own posting style is more aggressive than back when I made that alt and I haven't suffered anything like back then. So what's the point. You have been around here a long time yourself so you'd know you couldn't even use most swear words without getting modded, and with karma losses too. I remember being sig wiped twice, losing masses of karma and even warned/purged before over tame insults or flaming. Now people do truly egregious shit (full on racist rants, for example) with a slap on the wrist. Perma bans on old accounts barely happen. There was an element of fear before that you could quite easily lose an account you invested in. It's funny how I used to complain about this stuff now I want it to come back.
