I really liked The Bunker, but i heard the other games aren't that great.... just ok.

But they are very slow SLOW games. Shapeshifting Detective is an easy 10/10 for narrative, but 2/10 for game design

I actually like FMV games, and think that people constantly shitting on them after their period of popularity ended in the 1990s were vastly overreacting, but from what I've seen most of the modern ones are kind of shit.

I think my first FMV game may have been Wing Commander III and IV, but I might have played either 7th Guest or Myst before that (both of which had FMV elements even if they weren't full FMV games).

Gabriel Knight 2 was a big one I loved at the time as well. And I really liked Mad Dog McCree (and its related games) in arcades (unfortunately the home version was kind of crap - though I never played the version on the Wii, that might actually have been better than the DVD releases).

I remember the FMVness of this attract mode was pretty much the only reason I stopped to play the game at all, and it was pretty fun:

A lot of remasters and releases on newer consoles seem to suck these days. Usually because the rights owner just cheaps out and outsources the port to an inept development studio who fuck it up. Mainly because they assume the brand name recognition and nostalgia will sell the product well enough to justify the costs without actually having to make the product good (and sadly, they're usually right).

There are a bunch of games I've been tempted to buy recently, only to pass on because once they're released the reviews all talk about how broken the load times are or how often it glitches or crashes, even when the original game didn't have those problems.
