I'm from New Orleans, which is the only blue spot in an entire state of red and it fucking sucks. The moment you leave NOLA you see just how much of a regressive shithole Louisiana really is, I'd give anything to move to somewhere blue but I'm unable to leave here again

When I visited, I didn't even leave NOLA before I ran into some areas that seemed really downtrodden. Like just a few streets removed from downtown.

I lived most of my life in blue states. but currently in a red state. it's nice (the blue state I mean) knowing your state government is not run by scumbags

I have only lived in red states, but I have visited outside the USA to know that it is basically the same wherever you go besides COL

Taxes are outrageous

Colorado sucks balls, our roads are trash, we have like 4 major projects years behind schedule and a billion+ over budget, driving from Denver to the mountains is no longer possible for a day trip because traffic is such shit. Denver is overrun with homeless people worse than I have ever seen, office buildings and restaurants downtown have been boarded up for months. We cant even drink our sorrows away because last call is 10 pm for some reason, I guess the virus goes into hibernation at night.

Housing costs are through the roof because the only things being built are apartment complexes, Denver hasnt had a condo building built since Hickenlooper took over as mayor. Commercial real estate is about to fall through the floor as companies are scrambling to get out of downtown to lower costs when they can just work remote, its gonna get real bad.

Also they are about to pretty much ban oil and gas, despite the state voting on the issue in 2018 and deciding by 15 points that the industry is important. The state legislature just ran right over the people and banned it anyway.
