I will say that while I liked playing through the story in TLoU2, it's almost oppressively bleak. I felt drained emotionally by the end.

Death Stranding took me 3 starts to really get into it. I'm not going to fault anyone who struggled with the game's early portions and wrote it off as bad. It's the definition of bad game design to put your worst offerings up front. First impressions and all. But I kept hearing the game gets better when you unlock certain tools and equipment, so I gave it another go and the game is really good. Story is fucking bizarre and I think I know what happened, but yeah those first few chapters are rough so I can see why people hate it.

I finished Death Stranding twice, once on PS4 and once on PC.

I couldn't make it more than 5 hours into TLoU2.

Death Stranding is, shockingly, the better game.

I was also going to add Resident Evil 3 Remake to the poll, but I think it probably wouldve won the poll by a landslide.

Death Stranding isn't overrated though. A large portion of the people who liked it (myself included) will admit that its a very polarizing game and don't fault people for hating it.

Tlou2 is fantastic and frankly the fact that so many people dislike it really contributes to the idea that games can't be 'art'.

I didn't get very far in death stranding, really just a few hours before deciding that I wasn't really up for the ridiculously slow pace

I don't own Death Stranding and I've never played it as it seems dull. The Last of Us Part 2 though is a enjoyable game.

I really enjoyed The Last of Us Part II. I'm still at the beginning of Death Stranding. I put it down a few weeks ago because it just wasn't capturing my interest, but I'll come back to it at some point.
