Still, Warner Bros. will be on the hook for Depps full salary, even though he only had shot one scene since production began on September 20 in London. Like many A-list stars, Depp had a so-called pay-or-play contract, which requires that he be fully compensated whether or not the film is made and even if it is recast. As is common with stars of his level, there was no morality clause in his contract, even though it was amended with each new installment. Technically, Depp was not fired by Warner Bros. but asked to resign. It is unclear what recourse it would have had if the star refused.

There's probably some crossover between them both abusing each other, but Amber was the main instigator and Johnny only ever seemed to act in self defense.

Amber was def proven guilty, though, but Johnny is only in the hot seat now because he sued The Sun for libel after they called him a wifebeater and he lost the case because there wasn't enough proof to say The Sun was wrong for calling him that. So now people think he's as guilty as Amber because they just see "Johnny," "wifebeater," and "lost case."

It's impossible to know to what extent at this time since several of Amber Heard's claims have been proven false casting doubts on the others but Depp wasn't an innocent victim.

She's not only still in Aquaman 2, but Snyder had her come in for Snydercut reshoots, AND she's still a L'Oreal spokesperson, AND she's still a representative/spokesperson on multiple human rights groups (ACLU, UN, etc).

I really don't see these movies making it to 5 entries. This series already lost its momentum after that last movie. Barely anyone cares about this. Reactions to Star Wars ST may be mixed but at least people cared.

Warner Bros is basically just dicking around with this franchise until they can finally do their big reunion movie series that will actually get people to care again.

That's the main strategy people use in domestic situations. I don't know what's what tho. Anyone who thinks they can make a verdict has a bias. We only know what they show us.

I think at the very least they were in a very toxic relationship that made them worse people.

There's some evidence that Amber Heard has been shitty with some other people so there's reason to believe that she's the big catalyst. But I don't know either of these people personally so meh.

I'm sure there's lots of times Amber did shit that just never got recorded. I just think that this weird picture that Johnny Depp was this helpless victim and Amber has only lied about him is not accurate. Obviously both sides are going to do their best to tell a story that makes it look like there isn't a "both sides" and while Amber's claims should be taken with heavy skepticism it's clear Depp is guilty of abusive outbursts as well.

Though he's definitely not guilty of everything Amber accused him of, he's at least guilty of some of it.
