But if I take the words back out your mouth and have to shut the fuck up after, what do I do with those words? Am I expected to just hold them?

On a less evasive note, if you don't have a plan to replace it, you're still saying "fuck those people". It comes off as you wanting to take it away and replace it with nothing. Learn to communicate better and don't blame others for not filling in 2-3 paragraphs around your one poorly thought out line'd post.

What do you want me to address exacly? It's a broken system that's doomed to bankruptcy. The first generation to draw SS back in the thirties essentially looted future generations pay for their problem. You're all paying a large portion of your income into a program you will likely never the beneficiary of. What about old people 40 years from now that had +10% of their income stolen from them that could have had all of those holding rolled into something like a government mandated IRA and enjoyed a comfortable retirement? You should all be upset about that.

But hey, if you want to just frame me as an asshole who hates old people, go ahead.

I agree. I don't trust anything that the government controls. I wasn't even holding you to that anymore. You explained yourself. I was moreso about how I was somehow "wrong" for you not properly representing your views initially. Instead you put it in the worst way possible. And seeing how you blame me for that, I feel like it's just gonna keep happening. I do that shit all the time, but at least I realize it when someone taps me on the shoulder. Honestly, I don't even know why I defended "trainwreck", I don't even use that term. I don't think I use any term that uses horrific accidents to be dramatic. Eh. Takes no effort. Walking on eggshells isn't something I do, believe me. It's just damn near effortless to correct small behavior traits. I don't rely on needing to minimize other peoples trauma to get by. What takes effort is being petty and feeling you need to push back small petty shit or you're being compromised. Being inconsiderate isn't something I need to form a personality. I'd like to allow maturity and compassion into my life with open arms. Not be an edgelord into my 30s. Denying growth since high school.

It's not even about never using it, it's about reading the room first. Do whatever you want with your friends. But if you can't hold your tongue in groups, that's just lack of maturity.
