lol, i'm pretty sure i had that accusation floated as recently as yesterday. next one's for you dude. i didn't get to see them say it because they don't keep vods but i know how they tick. i'm sure when they saw my name they all went omg and started paragraphing. the fan club.

In general I'd say I'm above average in most games. Only game where I've been 'elite' is Mario Kart Wii. Couple WR's or and various other top 10 world wide records in the first 4 years of the game. If I hoped back in right now, I could probably get back into the swing of things and be a somewhat top player again.

Compared to people on ce, probably not. In general yes.

In most games that have a ranked mode I'll end up in the top 15-30% range.

I'm alright. My reaction time isn't what it used to be, 15 years ago.

I'd say so, I've got an above average K/D on most CoD games. I'm also ranked in 1v1 competitive duels in Rocket League as well.

I used to win quite a few tournaments at the local arcade back in the day which included DDR,Rush 2049, stuff like that.

Yeah Ive always been good at video games. I have a 2+ K/D in all the FPS games I play and I was top 50 in the world at the first Tekken Tag Tournament. Although, being in my forties my reaction time is not what it used to be.

Im not good at fighting games, platform games, and Im not very good at racing games.

Im very good at shooting games, but there are definitely people who are better. I never dedicate myself to a game, so there are always people who know the game better.

My strongest genera is turn based RPGs and turned based Tactical RPGs.

I think I am. Sometimes I play co-op games, my minds not in it at all, yet my reflexes keep me on pace with people who can actually focus.

Ya, I really only know that Dreamcast version. But it really is a blast to play. It is gaming done right!
I have played the arcade unit, which is different, but the same....but not enough to say I know it.
But the DC version is very nice. ((Though most DC racing games are really good))

There's some slight differences, mainly that your car has wings in the dreamcast version. I think there's some secret cars in the console version that's not in the arcade version. Other than that, it's damn near perfect.

Yes it's fun playing games and trying to be the best at them. Kinda hard to play games 100% for fun now though even ones I'm not serious about, for example if I'm playing a rhythm game and I miss one of the first few notes I'll have to restart just to make sure I get them all, then if I miss one like halfway through or near the end I get really mad lol and stop playing <_<

Ya, it's like they added the wing just for the, Because they can reasons.....But it works and make it that much more fun.

I am, and not just because I enjoy putting the effort in to git gud. There's some innate metric of ability, and not even towards specific genres, but videogames, perhaps games, as a whole. Regardless of the game, I've noticed that, within circles of people with the same resources and the same general level of time put in, there are those who do better and those who do worse, even in games I have no intention of learning.

I'm top 50 on LAN server for Teamfight Tactics atm. Was Hero multiple times as Dominator on Lineage II's Chronos (NA) server which is basically the #1 of that class/profession due to 1v1 olympiad matches. And I also won a couple of LAN tournaments for Starcraft: Brood War back in the day.

I've always been very competitive, and I'd like to believe I'm "good". However, my 11 year old nephew did what I couldn't, he beat 3 BC on Dead Cells on my save. I wasn't aware of this until a day later, when I saw it was cleared. I asked him and he went "Yeah I did, it was fun, but kinda easy".

WTF.

I dont get mad ever though, always a good sport. I like to see players better than me because it helps me learn

Yup...The only thing the Dreamcast lacked was the RAM. They cut that a bit for the console.

I would say I'm at least above average. I have terrible reaction time, however, which is basically my barrier that prevents me from ever going beyond above average in games that demand it. I can learn games pretty well, at least, and I have enough persistence to see a game through (often 100%ing them).

I don't play competitive games much, so I don't really have much ways to compare myself to others.

Yeah. Back in my early 20s, PS2 era, I was getting pretty good at fighting games Like GGX2 and Soul Calibur. Ans Smash Bros Melee. Now I'm 34 and I just can't pull off what I used to on reaction.

I was playing Smash Ultimate against a 20 year old classmate over a year ago and while I won a few matches with smart plays, he really had the upper hand on technical ability and reaction the entire time.

Sure, I can blame some of it on just being out of practice, but at the end of the day I can just feel that my hands are slower and my eyes aren't as sharp.

Not really.

I was the best at melee among my friends, but I'd have probably gotten stomped if I'd tried to play it competitively as I never really mastered any of the higher level techniques.

I'm terrible at shooters.

I would like to say so, yes. I was in the top 5% on Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled's online. And I used to do pretty well online in Halo 2, 3 and Reach.

I don't need my single player games to be mind numbingly hard though.

I mean, I'm not complaining that souls games needs an easy mode even after the 1st knight handing me my ass after a dozen or so times. But I doubt I'll be breaking into Tekken's group stage despite playing the series for the entirety of my gaming life
