19 y/o Tik Tok Star Zoe Laverne from Indiana is apologizing after she KISSED a 13 y/o BOY who is a DIE HARD fan of hers and has a major crush on her!!!

She has nearly 18 million followers and apologized on live stream when she kissed the boy but denied "grooming" the young fan who is also a tik toker named Connor Joyce.

She said she and Cnnor are just "best friends" and "caught feelings" for each other but realized the age difference between them was a bad thing after the video of their kiss was filmed

She said "I didn't groom Connor. I wouldn't do that. He's a kid and i'm aware of that. It just happened. We both were in a dark place when we first became friends and we both just ended up catching feelings for each other. And friends do that, they catch feelings for each other. That's not a bad thing. yes, age is a bad thing. Yes it's wrong. Yes, it's not good. We both realized that and we stopped"

Connor has more than 350,000 fans himself and frequently collaborates with Laverne but she says they recently "ended" their relationship

In the texts, her former friend wrote to her "I left because of her interactions with Connor. They got very intense and it's something i do not stand by what so ever. It's pedophilia"

Connor himself addressed it and insisted she did not "rape" him and described how they became more than friends but realized the timing was wrong

Laverne says on an instagram post that she is not getting THERAPY as her mother defended her as well.

Laverne says she knows her fans are disappointed in her and have every right and said she told his mother who wasn't happy but understood that they are "teenagers" and feelings can be caught

Her mother says "Anybody can reach over and kiss somebody. They're best friends. This needs to stop you guys..why are you doing this?"

Laverne and Joyce took a break from social media before returning as Connors is now private.

I guess it's technically sexual assault because he's incapable of consent, but I can't imagine anybody bothering to pursue this unless he or a parent files a complaint and, even then, it probably won't go anywhere.

This is extremely predatory. If the genders were reversed many more people would be outraged. Its child molestation and should be looked at by law enforcement. That said, I do. Ot believe that anything would come of charges in this instance because I think both parties would claim they were acting out personas in a scripted environment, much like a movie or tv show. I think(not know) that it would be fairly easy to make that claim. I.e. she could say she agreed to kiss him so that he would get more followers because it would enhance his image to appear to be able to dating a 19 year old when he is only 13. This argument would claim nothing more explicit happened and the kiss was only for dramatic effect and nothing more.

Indeed. How people perceive this difference is quite telling. But it also shows another aspect: women rarely incur in sexual assault, rape or paedophilia acts, hence why they are not perceived as being "sexual" even when there are legal arguments to be made about consent and underage relationships.

With this said, should she be arrested? Probably not. Depends on what's behind this. An innocent kiss is quite different from manipulating a pre-teen into a relationship. But that's for a judge to decide. I doubt she was grooming him intentionally. More likely got carried away with her feelings.

Regardless, she recognized the mess she made, so it's not like she's a lost cause and should be arrested. Most stories that involve a 19 year old kissing a 13 year old don't end as amicable...

First and fore most, I denounce this girl for her actions however I think think its important have this distinction here.
Biologically speaking it is natural to be attracted to someone who has been through sexual maturity, hormones that cause this attraction have the sole purpose of encouraging procreation. I am not saying its morally correct but this is not the same as being someone who has a mental disorder that causes them to be attracted to children who have not even begun sexual maturity.

And no, I can confirm for you that this guy in his late 20's doesn't want to fuck highschool students even though I am backing up this distinction that we should make. I have turned down a two highschool girls this year, despite that they are of the legal age of consent in my state.
