How fast is Kenshiro's fast? Doing the math based on actual recorded He-Man throwing-a-jewel feats in a comic, He-Man's fastest is 22 miles per second, which is roughly 76,000 MPH faster than the fastest recorded muzzle velocity (or 23 times faster than the fastest bullet, if you prefer).

I also believe in He-Man's ability to shout "GIVE ME THE POWER OF THE CASTLE'S SECRETS" to prevent his muscles from exploding. I have zero evidence of this, but I also believe wholeheartedly that he might do it.

Also what's the over/under on them just doing absurd feats of strength to impress each other instead of fighting for a while?

He could move so fast that he appeared to be totally invisible, which basically would have required moving at the speed of light.

Though you can also find decidedly lower showings... So it's basically "as fast as needed to look cool in the current scene".

ALLEGEDLY a character from a spin-off claimed to have light speed attacks, but Garuda is so obscure I can find no evidence of anything about him.

To be fair, if his punches were invisible, the human eye could only see until about 36,000 MPH. He-Man throwing a rock is about twice that.

So... imma say "even" because this is fun and I'm definitely willing to highball Kenshiro.

Could Kenshiro punch a tornado to death?

Probably not. There's enough nonsense with energy attacks and auras that he could probably do something about a tornado, but I doubt he could just punch it.

It's not relevant, but he can master any martial arts technique just by seeing it, so I'd argue he could punch a tornado if he saw He-Man do it first... but probably not something he could do without seeing it done.

...Also not very relevant, but somewhat amusing: Kenshiro VS Han (who seems to be a very muscular Freddie Mercury). They spend almost the entire fight suplexing each other, so it's probably easy to get Ken to agree to a test of strength, which probably wouldn't go well for him.

Going to just go over a few scenarios I think are fairly plausible.



A: Since theres no posted rules about the arena compelling them to kill each other, both have their canon personalities. Neither of them is going to want to murder the other for no good reason, so they agree to settle things through several tests of strength. Theyll both do completely ridiculous things that impress the other: Kenshiro will throw a jab that will cause a shockwave that rips apart the ground for miles in front of him, but things end with He-Man pushing the moon. Kenshiro eventually concedes, both sides leave with tremendous respect for how awesome the other is.

(Result: He-Man.)

B: They are compelled to fight, but have some trace of their personalities.Kenshiro doesnt go for immediate kill shots and tries to wrestle or grapple with He-Man. Wrestling someone who can move celestial bodies is stupid and Kenshiro either loses consciousness or dies, depending on how much respect you have for his durability VS He-Mans strength VS how much you expect even a compelled to fight He-Man to hold back.

(Result: Probably He-Man)

C: Both characters are compelled to fight and wont hold back at all. Kenshiro fires energy waves that cause He-Man to explode; or Kenshiro throws a single hair that lightly grazes He-Man, causing him to explode; or Kenshiro declares that He-Man is already dead, reveals that he lightly tapped him while moving at the speed of light, and He-Man explodes; or Kenshiro touches He-Man, forcing him to speak, as Kenshiro demands answers as to where he isHe-Man doesnt know and explodes; or Kenshiro compels He-Man to walk backwards and off of a cliff, where he falls like Wile E. Coyote and then explodes.

(Result: Kenshiro_)

D: Soryu Tenra allows Kenshiro to warp them into a void of nothingness where they have a test of pure strength. Ive seen people argue that this would disable all types of magic or power-ups, but being that magic doesnt exist in FotNS, your milage may vary on that end. If he did disable magic, then Kenshiro stomps (Prince Adam is just not a good opponent for Kenshiro, sorry) ; if he manages to stay He-Man even as a spiritual form in a realm of nothingness, then we go back to the this is a test of strength in which one of the opponents can take punches from Pre-Crisis Superman and move planetary objects with brute force scenario and He-Man wins.

(Result: Inconclusive)

E: Muso Tensei (the power that allows Soryu Tensei) allows Kenshiro to achieve a state of total nothingness, in which hes basically invulnerable to everything. Physical attacks shouldnt do anything against him at all in this state. Its not absolute immortalitysomeone else with the skill can hit him, anyone else with powers based on nothingness or the void should be able to strike him, anyone that can attack the opponents spirit directly could hit him, but... I dont think He-Man has any way of damaging Kenshiro if he wants to stay in a spirit form forever.

[Has He-Man ever fought a ghost? Because that may actually be relevant.]

I do not make this argument because it is stupid, I dont think Kenshiro would open with it, and because it just shuts out any possibility of debate.

(Result: I refuse to entertain this idiocy.

Alternate Result: He-Man punches fire, so there is a non-zero chance that he can successfully punch someone without a physical form, which is simultaneously the funniest, dumbest, and most likely outcome.)



Vote: He-Man; scenario A feels the most plausible. Kenshiro basically needs to go for killing shots immediately and while he has roughly infinity ways of murdering someone if he can get even a single hair to touch them, I dont think his first instinct to seeing a great hero known as the strongest man in the universe is going to be IMMA FIRING MY DEATH RAYS!!! when they could show off and test their strength against each other in less explode-y ways.

I'll agree with He-Man (a huge surprise and departure from my normal state, I know). The closest thing to 'ghosts' I can think of off the top of my head that He-Man has fought off are the ghostly shadow snakes that King Hsss uses to bind people, which are like... solid darkness-light-ghosts? I would be shocked if He-Man hasn't fought a ghost and I just can't think of it, though.

I'll disagree in that I would flip your probable scenarios for C and D around, though. D I feel is an almost definite loss for He-Man; he'd have to hold out with what limited magic his body's already absorbed, and I think Ken would beat that out of him pretty quickly. At most, He-Man would probably punch through one of Ken's arms before Adaming out. C, however, I think is less likely - if Kenshiro throws out waves or a single strand of hair, He-Man will probably knock it back with the sword. Which leads to the beautiful scenario where Kenshiro and He-Man are ping ponging a single strand of hair back and forth at ludicrous speeds until one of them dies, and I give He-Man the edge there because at least then he's not directly touching the explosion hair, the Power Sword is.
