Democrats lost at least two state senate seats and at least one state house seat. I had anticipated the Senate losses but I expected them to get net pickups in the state house.

The fact that they didn't leads me to believe that Democrats in Arkansas are well and truly irrelevant

You know I'm honestly not sure there is a problem per se. I think Republicans do represent the will of the people of Arkansas better than Democrats. Just kind of depressing that we want to be so provincial and backwards

I'm feeling the same in Kansas. Laura Kelly winning governor in 2018, probably gave me too much hope that there was a blue shift. But not so much. Wichita continues to ruin things. Johnson, Douglas, and Wyandotte counties can only do so much.

At least Sharice Davids easily won her house re-election. This time not against a extremely unpopular incumbent. Barring scandal she'll hold that seat for the foreseeable future.

It's what happens when you focus on enticing Never Trump republicans. Sure, they're not gonna vote Trump, but they're still voting republican down ballot.

Yup, what the gop did in the house and Senate means Biden won't accomplish much of anything unless he acts like how barr wants the president to act. The obstruction tactics will keep the the DNC from accomplishing anything of value. Which gives the gop more leverage for 2022
