i never said i wanted to do that either. you have a problem with putting words in people's mouths too. This talk about people breaking in specifically to kill someone: you said that, no one else.

No - you admitted that it's very unlikely someone wants to kill you, but that it is more likely that a 2-bit crook would want to steal your stuff. That is my point - I don't want to reach for a gun and kill someone because they were trying to steal my stuff.

To me that seems like an escalation of a problem. And it would be a natural reaction too. Of course if someone broke into my house I would reach for the nearest deadly weapon, but in hindsight it's almost certainly not worth it.

I personally just got an AK-47 along with a few handguns.

The way I see it is its just too late to close Pandoras Box on guns in the United States. We have over 1.2 guns per person in this country. And then theres trying to stop them as 3D printers and home CNC mills become more readily available.

especially now. i recently sold an older M&P sport i got for $400 during a black friday years ago for $1050 a couple weeks ago. guns in general also tend to hold their value really well making them be pretty good investments.
