We all know some one like that, but Peggy does, at times, demonstrate sufficient intelligence to suggest she should probably know better. She doesn't though, because she is Peggy Hill! Bill, on the other hand, is just straight-up pathetic. You can be repulsed or disgusted by Bill, but you can't hate him. Certainly never as much as he hates himself. However with Peggy to me she is not enjoyable since for the most part she never gets what is coming to her. She is like villain and they let her think she is right even when she is wrong most of the time. One of the biggest things was the Thanksgiving when she got upset that Bobby was better cook. Hank and Bobby were finally bonding. Most times for this to work one of them has to give up something they like , but not this was natural and she messed that up, with her nasty big feet. Her mother was AWFUL to her her whole life, I'm not so surprised she ended up with self-image problems. I think she convinced herself she's so great to try to fix what her mother broke in her. And even though she has some awful episodes (like trying to sabotage Lucky's education or getting jealous of Bobby helping in the kitchen) she also has some great ones, like when she refuses to buckle when everybody is pressing her to pass the idiot football player. My favorite episode of hers is the one where she is mistaken for a drag queen. The only problem is his character gets set back to zero every time he appears, which is the worst in ~~the episode where he dies.~~ They had him set up in like half his episodes to make peace with Hank but that episode not only didnt follow-through, it threw the door closed on that. But yeah, Peggys a great character. A lot of people hate her but I think everyone can see how she got to be the way she is, flaws and all, given her judgmental mother and apathetic father.
