have to fly soon, haven't been to the airport since february so I don't know what everything's like

is it... pretty standard, just wear a mask and stay away from other people? Or do they have any extra procedures?

Flown several times already. Just keep your mask on basically. Some stores in the terminal may be closed, but that's about the only difference I noticed. Been to airports in Atlanta, Vermont, Maine, and Baltimore, Durham/NC, and none required additional screening or whatever.

I don't fly until xmas (assuming things don't continue to progress negatively) where southwest was nice enough to email me flights in December will be fully booked instead of limited capacity. Because as cases are once again spiking we should be cramming more people in.

Yeah, from Virginia to Georgia and back last month.

Have to wear masks of course, and they did a temperature check at the gate in Virginia. But on my way back from Atlanta, we just strolled in with no temperature checks >_>

Yeah I already got a notification from the airline saying the flight is overbooked, which makes me wonder if it's overbooked based on the max capacity of the plane, or the limitations according to the covid situation.

Middle seat was open on my Southwest flight. I heard that some airlines are going back to regular seating tho

I flew a few weeks ago, Delta. They blocked off all middle seats from booking. Wear a mask the whole flight, snacks are given in little bags containing a bottle of water, cheez-its, and a granola bar, much more limited selections for beverages/snacks for obvious reasons (when previously they had sodas and coffee).

Other than that, pretty normal. I wish the middle seat thing would stay permanent but I know that's a pipe dream.

Pretty standard again. About 2 weeks ago, you could get to the airport about 45 minutes before boarding and still make your flight.

I flew last week from Ny to Fl and the airports were kinda full.

they have to oversell so they can fill every seat. to answer the question it's due to the seat limit due to covid. max capacity if they don't have a middle seat exemption.

I figured it was one of the two, just don't want to fly on a flight where all the seats are taken lol.

I can't do 45 minutes prior to boarding any more but that's because 90% of my travel in the past ten years has been overseas so I'm just used to showing up... you know, like 2+ hours.

I'm one of those guys who prefers showing up 2+ hours early anyways because you can just post up at a restaurant and have a drink/breakfast, regardless of the time of day.

The magical thing about the airport is it's the only place (aside from vegas) where you can drink at any hour of the day and not get any funny looks.

Granted covid has a lot of airport restaurants shut down, which sucks, but during normal circumstances is awesome.

I took American airlines (Jacksonville to Charlotte to Vegas and same stops back)and every seat was full. In fact, they had emailed to try and get me to take a different flight on another day. No temperature checks.

As others said, some airport restaurants are closed. Charlotte was packed and really busy, I'm sure a little less people than usual but still expect 30 minutes lines for food.

Fucking great. Yeah I was just checking in for my flight and it did seem like they were farming out *every* seat.

Lol I'm trying to do the math on when I need to get to the airport, I haven't flown in so long I don't even remember the timing of everything.

If it boards at 6:20 I should be fine if I get to the airport at like 5:15 (to account for the shuttle time to the terminal) >_>

Only saw about maybe 5% of people, if that, wearing masks incorrectly.

Did hear one karen yelling about "that idiot who can't even understand English and fucked up my order", that was awkward.

And I accidentally sat in the wrong seat and the guy who was supposed to sit there was being a little bitch lol. Instead of just saying "Hey would you mind checking your ticket?" he turns to the flight attendant and starts shouting "This guy's in the wrong seat, he's in the wrong seat!" like damn lol.
