Look at this early results map and go to 2016 tab

https://electproject.github.io/Early-Vote-2020G/index.html

We know republicans end game is to run up numbers on election day

We know Democrats are more likely to lead in the early vote

so far we are at 59% and the only state that looks good for Republicans is Pennsylvania.

What is really concerning is California being at 58%, New York at 28%, and Illinois at 49% and the rest of middle America having the least. So yes Republicans can run it up on election day but does it matter if it is in West Virginia, California, or Missouri?

yeah, but if the only votes left are in California or Oklahoma then it's over, most of the swing states except Pennsylvania are at high turnout so far

Election night ends with Trump in the lead

Trump declares victory

His administration & lawyers in red states & swing states get the courts (which he has been packing) to halt the mail-in vote counting.

Because of the 24 hour news cycle & social media the chaos will be bigger than what happened in the 2000 election.

It ends up going to the Supreme Court which is now a 6 - 3 conservative majority.

We then have our first emperor.

Turns out the most important election was the last one.

I would be cautious to rely on vote totals right now. There may still be a ton of people voting on election day. We've seen historic voter turnout this year and election day is probably gonna have insane lines.

thats why I brought up the margins argument. We are at 59% of 2016 right now and the swing states are filling up fast. By Election Day if states like NYC, Cali, Oklahoma, and Illinois are still low than that remaining vote on Election Day will be noise.

You mean you decided to vote by fraud!

Just to be clear that's a joke. There's no proof that mail in ballots have any effect on voter fraud.

The total turnout will probably be much higher than 2016. From what I've read, about 58 million early votes were cast in 2016. We're over 82 million in 2020.

But really, I'm just being overly skeptical because of how the polls changed so drastically moving toward election day. Realistically, polling has been much more steady in Biden's favor this year than it was for Clinton in 2016.

Exactly, I was a republican I would be wanting those swing states to be at 30-45% right now, but when you see Texas at 97% and NY at 28% that's not good lol

My state is trash. They're not legally allowed to start counting votes from mail in ballots until election day and some of our red counties might wait until the day after the election.

Yeah, I know these numbers are about ballots returned so far based upon voter registration, but I'm still mad at my state they won't allow counties to count votes until election day.
