I feel like Gold and Silver were pretty rough in some parts. Especially the dragon chick, Claire I think it was.

I'd go with Gen 5, disregarding the fact that it had a hard mode, everything as a whole seemed to have a higher level requirement to evolve making it feel as if it'd take a while for some members of your team to catch up.
And I think they had some weird things with typings or something with super common weaknesses. Doesn't matter, I still love Gen 5 the most. --- Ignore when people say that the title length is not important, that a title should just convey what the game is about. B/W 2 and US/UM if you're doing a nuzlocke are the hardest.

I believe Platinum is the hardest to nuzlocke due to crit rate.

Probably, G/S due to it's abhorrent level curve.
Not that it is difficult, but it's probably the only one of the games that requires active grinding against wild Pokmon, to keep leveled. Any other game you'll basically be appropriately leveled so long as you fight all the trainers and random Pokmon on the way. --- *Gheb is my other account* ... Copied to Clipboard!

Id say Gen 2 and 3, mostly because I didnt know the typing weaknesses. I would get my behind handed by Falkner's Mud slap spamming Pidgeot, Of course Whittney and Claire. Roxanne was surprisingly tough too
