Brick and mortar and online retailers are in panic mode over no stimulus package and it's being reflected in the stock market because without that money in the hands of consumers for holiday spending it's gonna be the worst Xmas since the great depression.

They've been working so hard, they deserve it :)

On a positive note, the stimulus will be big enough to strangle a gorilla come early next year if you can hold out that long not having any money in your pocket..

Don't get me wrong...there will be some spending this Xmas but it's definitely all going on a credit card.

I can't see parents letting their kids miss out on Santa this year all because of the inept politicians.

I think it's the opposite. They now expect Trump to lose, so they're going to let the economy tank over the next few months. Then when Biden is sworn in and he starts pushing for a stimulus, they suddenly get really worried about the deficit again and start talking about how the Dems are wasting money.

-Get in their judges under the wire
-Ruin the country even more
-Blame it on the dems

That has been their strategy since the 2000s. It has worked for them, but I think this might be a turning point. I think resentment of Trump could carry the Democrats through the next few elections. And then the boomers will start dying in bigger numbers, and the younger generations who are more liberal and less white will start voting more and more. That's their death knell.

Bizarrely Republicans have made slight gains among young black and latino males but they're still a minority and don't begin to make up for the lower numbers elsewhere. Long term they are screwed if they don't find a way to be less radical and appeal more outside of their base.

when I vote I'm often the only black male under 35 I will see in the crowd, it's legit sad as hell (our county is about 14% Black for reference)
