Cold Steel 3 shouldn't be that demanding, can you downsample from 4k to 1440p while still maintaining 60fps?

I could do that, but I prefer to run on the native resolution of the screen--though i guess maybe the IPS panel is enough for me to overlook that, now that you mention it. I'm realistically getting ~40-45FPS at max settings 4K but it bothers the hell out of me. and I can run 1440p at 120fps but i have drops to 75-100 all over the place so i'm just sticking to 60fps. ... Running 4k on your 1440p monitor. It adds another layer of AA and looks really nice on some games. I downsample any old game I play just because it's often not a huge performance hit on my hardware. 1440p -> 4k would be using DLSS which you can only do with raytracing cards on certain supported games. Is there any way to get a larger screen with this? I do most PC gaming on a 55 inch tvI haven't looked into it much but I know there are a few 65 inch panels out there with Gsync at least. They're insanely expensive though so expect to pay thousands of dollars if you want to go that big. But also unless you've already got an insane 120hz TV, your frame rate is already going to be effectively capped. If your performance is locked above 60 in that case, you won't be seeing the issues that a variable refresh rate would solve. --- Let the voice of love take you higher, With this gathering power, go beyond even time! ... I downsample any old game I play just because it's often not a huge performance hit on my hardware. I've only got a GTX 1080 so no fancy black magic DLSS for me. :( As for downsampling from 4K to 1440p, doesn't that mean I'm still rendering internally at 4K? So I'll still have the same performance issues... Unless I'm missing something. My 1440p monitor (Dell SG2716g) does have Gsync, which is great with a 1080. My new 4K monitor (LG 27UL500) has freesync but I cannot get it to work with my graphics card no matter how much I mess with the range. ... Copied to Clipboard!
