They are more patriotic than Democrats and more likely to put other obligations aside on election day. Democrats are less inclined to vote if you limit voting to one day because it is an inconvenience. Also lines are super long in liberals areas of the country and many folks don't want to deal with that.

That's why early voting and mail-in voting scare the shit out of republicans. It's a game changer. I'm not trying to mock republicans, just putting this out there.

I'm voting in person on election day. Not because I like the idea of being around a bunch of ignorant fucks who might get me sick, but because I can see the writing on the wall and I want to make absolutely sure my vote counts and isn't questioned. The risk is worth it, to me, to do what I can to get the orange turd out of office as quickly and smoothly as possible.

There is early voting if you don't trust mail in. Why should we be limited to one day?

even moving it to a weekend or making it a holiday wouldn't fix anything, because lots of jobs dont close on holidays or give weekends off.

Along with these factors the population is much bigger than it was 200 years ago, yet we still have 200 years old voting habits. We need to expand voting to mailing and beyond. If people don't trust mail in, then in person voting should expand to a week including weekends.

I can see if your county has only a few thousand people. Having one day to vote for cities over 100,000 with limited sites and hours is a nightmare.
