There were more interesting female characters who could better occupy the Top Female Superhero role. Like, just about any of them.

Marvel has no female characters worth a damn besides Carol Danvers that aren't She-Hulk, or associated with X-Men, Fantastic 4, or Spider-Man. Aka stuff they didn't have when they made Captain Marvel. They can't make any Hulk movies because paramount still owns distribution rights. The next most popular Female character would be Kamala Khan who is nice and all but nowhere near the list of influence as Carol.

I dont recall that being suggested or hinted at in the movie. From the look of it, he hit her with a normal powered headbutt and, when it didn't work, he hit her with a power stone charged punch.

I dunno, it looks pretty clear to me. The way the energy flares where her hands touch the gauntlet, and how the longer she's touching the stronger she seems. Right before the FP she forces Thanos to his knees with one hand.

I thought her movie was a little bit on the boring side but I like her character.

Her role in the Avengers movie wasn't very good either though, these writers ugh

It's perfectly average for the MCU (literally dead center imo), but the MCU is pretty great on average.

Thanos was in intense pain at the time as he just put the gauntlet on. If anything this scene is some pretty iron clad proof that Thor is stronger because he nearly killed Thanos under the same set of circumstances.

She apparently wasn't even told she was in Endgame. These movies are like 99% green screens so they likely filmed those scenes while giving her a different context. So if her role in Endgame seems kinda contrived and disjointed that's because it is.

Issues with Brie Larson and the fanbase around the movie aside, as a female empowerment film I felt it lacked anything resembling her as a hero. Her arc seemed to culminate in: attain full phenominal cosmic powers without the usual lesson in humility or honor, use those powers to beat up people far beneath your current level, save some lives at a distance, then bitch slap your old CO now that you're his better. Even Stark matured as a person while she seemed to be at the "I've got the power now" phase of a proto bully. If she had lifted mjolnir, I'd have walked out of Endgame.

She came in with her hands flared up already. She was just stronger, and overpowered him. It's similar to the Cap/Thanos struggle in IW, except Carol this time was able to push back.

oh yea also about the Skrulls......another thing I hated was

making the Skrulls good. in the comics Skrulls are usually bad. and it's just weird that the movies want them to be good guys

i didnt because ive seen several good skrulls during the invasion 1 of them was killed by the skrull invaders and another ones saved countless of lives he exposed himself as a skrull in front of the heroes of the initiative and was acepted by them..........he was killed by 3dman (always hated that character )
and
in skull kill krew comics we learn there are many living peacefully on earth

Nah. Thanos didn't have a complete gauntlet during the Captain America scene and he'd already been wearing what he did have for hours at this point.

In Carol's case this was the first time he put on the gauntlet.

Plus Captain America isn't even remotely as strong as Carol and should have been overpowered by Thanos. It would be dumber if he hadn't.

They turned Fury into a wus and the first female Captain Marvel a black women. Was made into a child that looked up to Carol. So yeah fuck that racist ass movie.

Just saying the scenes were very similar. No doubt Cap < Carol .

As a black man, I did not find this movie racist.

I don't see it. Her hands were already glowing that bright blue-white when she first swoops in.

I haven't heard any official word of God statements saying she was somehow siphoning power from any of the stones, particularly when she wasn't touching them. If just holding the gauntlet let you use the power of the stones embedded in it, then Thanos wouldn't need to have put it on all dramatically.
