I remember being super stoked for the first one back in the day. I played the mess out of it and then it killed my 360. I got a ps3 and the game again but I couldn't be fucked to catch up with wherever I had gotten and never really got back into it again

Great games, played RDR2 shortly after it's release and then the first immediately after. Still prefer 1 to be honest

Never played Revolver. I loved RDR1 though and RDR2 was everything I wanted and more.

loved the first one when it came out. loved the dlc. replayed it and time has not been kind, but i still love the writing and acting. and cheating at poker

2 took me a couple dozen hours to start liking but now i think it's amazing. i got it when it came out on pc. i play it more as a role-playing old west sim than anything

I liked the first when it came out, but the second didn't improve the gunplay, so that ruined my interest after awhile. It didn't help the wheels on the storyline bus fell off after five or six chapters. Players who aren't familiar with western tropes and stuff probably enjoyed it more than I did. Still, if you ignore the gunplay aspects, everything else was pretty great, from fishing, riding around, the graphics, some of the sidequesty things, etc.

ignore the gunplay? the gunplay's awesome man they didnt really need to change it. i love shooting dudes in their necks and listening to them scream and sputter while im still in a firefight with the rest of his dudes

First one was great for the first playthrough, Undead Nightmare was awesome but again only worth a single playthrough IMO

RDR2 is one my favorite games of all time and RDR feels underwhelming when compared. I never see any examples of it being better that don't revolve around "It's slow". And that's just called preference. RDR2 single handedly changed my outlook on slow games. It was probably because I was more open to it as well, but if it wasn't an amazing game, I would of just confirmed that slow games weren't for me.

RDR is still an amazing game for it's time, but it's one those games I play immediately after and feel like technology was the only thing standing in it's way from being RDR2. It's a super fun game, but it's hella underwhelming when held side by side. Which I dunno why people don't like seeing that, it should be exactly what you want from a franchise, undeniable growth.

I probably won't be in the mood to defend my take for the 100th time, so just write me off if you feel like and don't put too much into responding. I just want to state my opinion and move on. You don't have to respect it, I just wanna show my personal love for it. Especially because I rarely ever feel this strongly about games anymore.

Loved Revolver at the time, but I always wished it was open world. I still like it, but it's different. I like how it's more Spaghetti western inspired.
Redemption 1 is great and I fell in love with it immediately. The Mexico part is kind of a drag though.
2 is even better. I still play it a lot even if I'm just messing around. One of my favorite games ever.

Red Dead Revolver was a great game when it came out on the Xbox. Never cared too much for RDR1 and 2.

Liked RDR but didn't enjoy RDR2 so I gave up on that one a few hours in.

I loved 1 but I've had trouble summoning up the will to play RDR2. I had the same problem with GTA V even though I enjoyed both games so I think maybe my gaming tastes have just changed.
