I saw a video review, which made it look very good. I dunno, though. It seems overly complicated. Shooting at stuff is fun, but it shouldn't be too confusing.

Sniper Elite 4 is easily the best in the series.

I never played 1. 2 is a linear experience. 3 has more open maps like in 4 but it's ultimately still pretty linear.

The game is as confusing as you want it to be. You can put it on easier difficulties and have a full HUD and be a tank and not have to worry about taking damage or factoring in wind factor for shots. Or you can put it on ultra realistic where you die in three shots and you can't save mid-mission and you have to factor in wind and bullet drop and everything (I played through on this difficulty and it was a blast honestly).

Or you can customize the experience to play how you want really. It's pretty free-form.

How long is the campaign on the standard difficulty? How are the graphics?

Its a pretty fun game. If you get a clean shot, youll get to see the round going through the enemy. Like through all of the organs, tissue, etc.

There are loud sounds in the environment, which you can use to cover the sound of your rifle. I

Howlongtobeat says ten hours, I'd say it's a little longer than that, especially with the DLC (which adds four missions and they're just as long as what's in the base game). Then there are optional objectives to complete and documents/reports/letters to collect if you're into that.

If you're really good at stealth and are just focusing on the main objectives you'll probably beat it in less than that.

Graphics are great, I'd say they're a couple shades worse than Hitman 2, but that's offset by the fact that the maps are larger than in that game so there's more to render and you can see farther.

It took me about 20 hours to beat, but I took this very methodical, stealthy approach, basically killing every enemy in each level. Really enjoyed it. It's got a satisfaction similar to Hitman when the AI walks into one of your traps.

This actually sounds like a really sweet game. How is it that the franchise doesn't generate more heat? You still hear plenty of people talk about Call of Duty, but rarely about this. Or have I just not been paying enough attention?

Call of Duty has a huge multiplayer base. I think there's multiplayer here, but it's not really what I was playing the game for.

Yeah I got a ton of time out of it. I played on the hardest difficulty which was a pain in the ass, probably took like 40 hours alone just to make it through all the maps because I'm terrible at stealth so I just killed everyone.

Then I played through again on super easy and just run and gunned all the objectives lol,it was like night and day.

The maps all feel varied, too.
