This is why the solution to these scenarios will always be piracy.

One guy buys the book, the rest of us glean the information, and the dip shit who committed crimes but is a "good guy" now just b/c he was the first to snitch doesn't get to profit off of his own vile actions.

Like I said when Bolton's book came out. Fuck him, don't give him money.

Even piracy helps them out to some extent, since you're ultimately promoting their carefully-curated image and giving them free promotion. It's kind of like the fact that piracy can actually help indie games and films.

And, let's be honest, most people who pirate books "for moral reasons" can find all kinds of reasons to not pay for stuff under normal circumstances =p
