It's alright. Definitely one of Cronenberg's weaker movies, but some of the concepts are pretty cool and the music is great.

The lead actor LACKED any kind of presence and charisma so that's why it's mostly remembered for Michael Ironside, the head explosion scene, and that incredible climax.
