I didnt even think about it during the Great Plateaufor some reason, I thought that the game was only gonna be as large as the Great Plateau >__>

that was an incredible moment, I knew I was in for a masterpiece then

I always felt it was small. I'm watching a playthrough and I feel that I just got lost a few times because I didn't know where I was. Watching this playthrough, I skip a bit and they're somewhere else but I instantly recognize the location.

I barely used my horses, preferred to just leg it. If Hyrule was really big, I think horses would have more purpose at least to me.

BotW was alright. But the world was very dull and lifeless. It needed more variety. Some parts felt as if it was procedurally generated.

imo, the point of the game is to get lost in nature. It's like sitting in the grass and watching the clouds go by - that serenity is the point of the game.

I like Hyrule Warriors a lot because of how busy it is, and I like BotW because of how quiet and peaceful it is. Fair enough if you're not into what BotW was going for, but I love what it was going for and I think it nailed it.

Legit, if you want to see Breath of the Wild done poorly, check out Yonder: the Cloud Catcher Chronicles or whatever. I picked it up because I was digging an open world experience and I was done with Zelda, and... it's not good. It's an impressive indie effort, but I really didn't like it.
