Clearly the game is no longer about actually representing the people. Its about who cheats best and the democrats have spent too long trying to play fair. I think what most fail to realize is that while most voters dont want court packing they also dont want Barret to be confirmed prior to this election. Barrets confirmation will drastically undermine trust the courts thus opening the way for many people to find packing the court permissive. The whole crux of the issue is basically going over the republican party's head in that the only reason we would need court packing is because they will have twice undermined the public's will on supreme court nominees in a short span of 4 years. Independents have not and will not be rallying around court packing to stop democrats for this election because repubilcans are the ones who continue to perpetuate the problem that requires packing said courts. Though vetoing a bill that directly benefits his constituents isn't something most presidents would do.
