When I started my teaching career, I couldn't talk to him as much anymore. But I always thought fondly of him. He was in a real emotional rut for a while and he seemed to finally have found his stride with his writing. He really cared about his friends on here too. Even after we stopped talking as frequently, our chats were still nice. I've only recently came back to gamefaqs but I remember a few years ago that Dog was feeling really pumped about some games he was looking forward to playing. He was struggling with being in his wheelchair and I'm not sure if I remember correctly if it was cerebral palsy or a musculature disorder, but I remember him distinctly mentioning at the time that he was feeling a bit down about always being in his chair and you were the one person who helped him in during the day, his one real human contact. I wish I remembered more from that topic, it was 500 posts and easily there was a lot to dig through that was more of a personal journal for him during the time period were other people were able to come to his aid and help his mind be at ease with the situation he was handed. He had many friends here and he was well liked by everyone.
