well these are the CPUs

if you're talking about the GPU, the 5700xt, their fastest card, is between a 2070 super and a 2080 non super.
at like, half the price.

This. PC gaming community needs to stop being so fucking blind and naive about this 3-way war between AMD, Intel, and Nvidia, which is no different than a battle with EA vs. Activision vs. Ubisoft. Neither of them are actually pro-consumer, especially when they definitely notice all the wet erections online from folks fawning over the latest cards. They're fully aware of people's skepticism and the economic state of the industry going into this incoming gen so of course they're gonna aggressively target the non-PS5/XSEX owners.

Indeed. I was ready to get on board with zen3 but these prices have me back to debating between a 10700k or the 3700x now. I'm not going to accept an $80 - $200 price premium just because of corporate greed.

Honestly, I'm just hoping that this is the impetus Intel needs to get its **** together.

I actually much prefer Intel as a company over AMD, but they rode that golden goose for far too long and they deserved the last few years of comeuppance.

Despite all the hate Intel is getting lately, the honest-to-goodness truth of the matter is that the main thing holding Intel back is their idiotic inability to adopt a smaller process tech. They just need to grow the **** up.

Anybody who's worried about thermal performance is already going to have aftermarket cooling. These chips only boost clock up to what their thermal threshold provides. The Wraith Stealth is a pretty crappy cooler, though. With only a 65w TDP, it shouldn't produce much more thermal overhead than what's currently available. I'd still rather have AMD and their offerings over Intel's anti-consumer friendly shit.

Intel cheated their way into their monopoly position and has filthy amount of money compared to AMD.

Intel literally has a Operating Income of $22.0 billion USD
AMD has a Operating Income of $631 million USD.

Intel's Equity is at 77.5 billion
AMD's Equity is at 6.02 billion

It's literally AMD is in a Power Armor and trying to chop down Chipzilla.
