Ah okay, that makes sense.
Sorry to hear that you're experiencing an excruciating amount of pain in your foot.
Honestly without a doubt, I would see a DR ASAP especially if you do not know the cause of the inflammation as it could be a indicator of a underlying ailment (insect bite for example, might cause inflammation for a few hours but without treatment potential toxins can break down flesh).

I will. I hate I was so stubborn going to work when I couldnt support myself on that foot this, well last morning, it got better with pain meds but after work pain meds havent been working and its worse.

im pretty sure its not gout, doesnt add up with reasons and symtoms, and I dont drink like I used to. Since I had similar pain and inflammation in my left hand and no real reason this summer Im thinking its something else.

Could it be diabetic nerve pain? Have you been monitoring/controlling your sugars?

Yeah, its really good and healthy, so much my diabetes was demoted to pre-diabetes just over a week ago, and they removed my metformin which I wasnt taking anywya. Even at my worst I was barely over the lowest limit for diabetes.

Do they have a medical marijuana program there TC? National Institute of Health here in the US actually released a paper here recently on marijuana chemicals being used as a novel autoimmune treatment. Very interesting indeed.

Ice it and 4x ibuprofin. I had bad foot pain and ice really helped me today.

Watch Star Trek TNG on netflix, maybe something random in season 3-5

Or do random eps of simpsons seasons 3-8 until you can go

no, weed is super illegal here in Sweden. There is one prescription drug with cbd but only used for special cases.

Tried to ice it and heat but both worsened the pain, and Im maxed out on NSAIDs atm.

Just 1 h and 30mins before I can call in sick at work , then one hour more I make my call to doctor.

wtf don't heat.

Only ice, and just keep the cold as close as you can without it making things worse. If you need to wrap the ice in a towel and put that near by, even a slight cold will help numb the pain.

i know,i did wrap it up but didnt help, heat was a desperatate effort, i know it increaes swelling but Im trying anything.

Fell asleep for like 40 mins, I've called in sick rest of the week now, and called the health center, they will call me at 8am (in 2 hours).

Gonna see if I can get a little bit of sleep but it's hard.

Didn't get a doctors appointment. First the nurse tried to make it so that the pain was due to the other damage and pain I have on the foot. But I had to fight that and say this is different and not the same and I don't think they are related.

And he said since it's not red or warm it's not acute there is no need to see a doctor today. And if I would, it would not be my doctor, this I do agree with since it's better to have the same doctor check things up, especially if it needs further investigating.

My doctor is fully booked but he is gonna talk to him tomorrow and see if they can fit me in somewhere, or just a phone call.

I get all this tho, they prob are fully booked but it's just so frustrating, I can't take another night like this. I hope the extreme pain was because I forced myself to work and strained it too much. I'm just so tired now and feeling mentally down.

I don't have edema, it's barely swollen. It's mostly likely inflamed for some reason. I suspect something rheumatic.

As I said I wish I had it.

Man, I broke down crying after the phonecall. Just so tired, angry and disappointed. Hopefully it won't be as bad today since I'll rest and not work, my work is a lot of walking and standing, I was so stupid going to work yesterday. The pain I had this night was horrible.

Right now it's still bad, but I'll take pain meds now and rest. Hopefully the doctor can do something tomorrow.

the hospital is always the last resort in america. but TC isn't in america. won't have to face that nightmare scenario.

Even with our health care or eapecially with our health care its not wise to go to the hospital/ER whenever, youll waste resources and spots for others if its not warranted.

Our first resort is to call the health center you are registered to, or call the medical advice line.
