FabIe 10/04/20 9:22:22 PM #19:	I used to be a mod on a few subreddits and I can guarantee GameFAQs has the better "system". But you also have to understand each subreddit is its own community. It's not like different boards on gamefaqs. Each sub is essentially like a different website where the mods are allowed to run things however they want. You can have a sub where they're heavy-handed and delete everything and ban anyone they want for literally no reason. You can also have subs where the moderation is non-existant and has lost all form of topicality. And everything in-between. The admins also have power to "shadowban" users. Which is typically used when someone tries to do a board invasion but sometimes regular users get caught in the mix and get shadowbanned. It's pretty rare from what I've seen though but I def. don't agree with it. So I guess my point is comparing gamefaqs to the whole of reddit is like comparing apples to oranges. --- The stories and information posted here are artistic works of fiction and falsehood. The moderators on GameFAQs really go above and beyond being the worst at what they do. They have just ONE job, the easiest job in the world, just follow the ToU. And for some reason they choose to do the exact opposite. They delete posts that are tame and they even slightly disagree with. Or it's something they do agree with but don't want everyone knowing. They delete posts that have facts they don't like. They protect the bullies and punish the bullied. They don't delete anything that's actually trolling or actually offensive. On hellhole they always taunt other users who complain about unfair moderations because they accepted them, knowing full well they would never overturn posts either out of principle or out of laziness, and upheld posts will remain on your history who even knows how long. I have one that was upheld two months ago, and I've never seen them enforce that rule for anybody else. They do absolutely nothing to stop harassment. GameFAQs has the reputation of being the most toxic community around because of extremely vague and poorly written rules and the lack of transparency or accountability that the moderators have in enforcing them. Over the past couple of weeks I noticed they've stopped deleting leftist posts pretty much entirely, and as a result those users have become even more bold and more comfortable breaking whatever rules they feel like breaking. <cite>Annihilated posted [p:945469494] in Better Mod... The moderators on GameFAQs really go above and beyond being the worst at what they do. They have just ONE job, the easiest job in the world, just follow the ToU. And for some reason they choose to do the exact opposite. They delete posts that are tame and they even slightly disagree with. Or it's something they do agree with but don't want everyone knowing. They delete posts that have facts they don't like. They protect the bullies and punish the bullied. They don't delete anything that's actually trolling or actually offensive.
