my post was an actual quote from an actual conservative comedy event that someone here posted about a few years ago, just fyi. The comedian who made that "joke" basically just narrated various at the time current events. There were no set ups, there were no punchlines. He just said things that happened.

Conservative comedy is almost always without fail about punching down. It just shits on marginalized groups, which is why folks like crowder come off as assholes or bullies. Theres also zero self-awareness. Not a good look fam

Rush Limbaugh was (maybe still is? Haven't listened in about 7 years) a good comedian. Has good jokes and great wit.

And that's the weird thing about Rush...he was always a comedian. His show was never meant to be taken as gospel, yet a lot (not all) of conservatives have and still do.
