I think I've got a bottle of Deschutes Neon Daydream left.

I just miss being able to regularly get Red Hook ESB. Not too fancy, but palatable.

Really good beer for how ubiquitous it is, imo

dont know how theyve managed to keep up the quality with the volume of it they put out.

bourbon barrel beers in general are some of my faves

I don't drink anymore but someone offered me some non-alcoholic craft beer and I was somewhat tempted to take them up on it. I'm a little over a year into sobriety and enjoying it, so I don't want to do anything that will trigger the cravings. I have to say though, I'm a little bit intrigued to see how much of my "I love the taste of craft beer, not just getting shitfaced! I'd drink it even if it were non-alcoholic" shtick was serious and what was my alcoholic brain rationalizing my addiction <_<

A local brewery has been making N/A versions of some of their beers recently, idk if theyre any good but their normal beer is great, and I think its a great market to break into

Damn those look great. I might have to give one a try some day. There's a kombucha that tastes pretty close to the last beer I drank and I seem to enjoy it without too much issue, so maybe it won't be as big of a deal.

I probably won't drink ten of them in a sitting though <_<

A few weeks back I accidentally made hard cider.

Ive tried to replicate it since, but have so far managed to create abominations in the eyes of god and man.

The apple and pear was nice, but I didnt count on the effects of the pear. Rather scouring, shall we say.

Recently tried using bakers yeast. I can already tell it will be awful. I need to knuckle down and buy some brewers yeast

It's easy to make cider but hard to make good cider. I made it for a few years and had more duds than good ones, even when following the same recipe, ingredients, and process. But I tell you, the ones that were good were damn good.

Definitely ditch the baker's yeast. There's a variety of brewing yeast available online for very cheap if you can have it shipped to you.

If you want high ABV, go with a wine yeast. Red Star Premier Blanc and Lalvin EC-1118 will handle any added sugars but you can end up with rocket fuel if you over do it.

For a better experience, I'd go with a beer yeast. They will still eat all the fermentable sugars but not as aggressively, so you'll end up with a "cleaner" fermentation. SafAle US-05 and SafAle S-04 were consistently good for me but I think the best cider I ever made was with Lallemand's Belle Saison yeast. I let it ferment to dry and bottle condition for about a month. Smooth and crisp with just a touch of pucker and no sign of alcohol, other than rubbery legs after downing three pints of it in about an hour because it was so damn quaffable. >_>

I'm of the opinion beer tastes best when poured from a large bottle (like in the pic) into a regular glass at home to drink out of.

And it's a great way to get a few different types of beers in the mix vs. buying single cans.

Had one of these last night. Freaking delicious but dangerous at 9abv. If I have one complaint about the craft beer industry is that things like this dont always have to be in tall boys
