That dude lasted exactly one month. It's two months between the election and National #EndTheNightmare day (Biden takes office), and you're presuming he becomes president before the election occurs.
So no, he would be so insignificant that he wouldn't even go in the record books for shortest term in office.

It would be very close. William Harrison was only president for 31 days when he died of Typhoid.

If all at once, by some fluke in the universe? I forget the answer. If one or two die at a time, allowing for things to move? Well then things move up and shift about until the system corrects itself.

I'm not sure how that could happen without killing the entire US population, considering how many people are in government and how they're scattered across the nation. When America is re-settled, the new population might not necessarily want a president... and that's assuming the land itself isn't just claimed by Canada and Mexico.

Granted, even if the current administration, all senators, all congressmen, etc, died so only state and local government was left, I'm not sure there's a transition plan *because* the current model hinges on the concept of designated survivors (and, as a result, you'd either need to kill the entire country or use magic to take out the entire federal government). They'd likely just have to hold an emergency election to refill every federal post.

I would assume there is someone like a designated survivor kept away from the public eye, and their location kept secret, in the cataclysmic event of a cosmic middle finger to our country's leadership; akin to a designated survivor existing whenever a State of the Union address is given. Then whomever is actually aware would need to seek this person out, if they are not aware themselves it is time to step up, and then the country's leadership would rebuild from there.

Governors selecting replacements for Congress or Senate, positions filling, and the working class or lower once again getting nothing more than the objective to learn the new names of who's about to screw them for the next couple years.

Now, assume this survivor has not survived, but the citizenry has, by that same stroke of universal fluky momentum. Then it falls on the citizenry to either unite and make a new government--for at this point you will find a fatter chance in a paper mill that has burned to the ground, because of decades of worsening divisive rhetoric and nonsense--or try and fail to carry on with their lives. So then people become unable to make trade, especially across regions where worth and currency may differ, and outside nations come in to take over. Russia and China, ironically, divvy up the former US west coast, the Euopean countries pick apart the eastern third of the former US country, and the middle is sort of shrugged at as land (and people) no one wants.
