I don't know how well it would work in a muggy climate, but as they're marketed for airline travel they probably wouldn't typically be in very hot places. Unless a plane gets stuck in a queue, but during flight I doubt it'd be an issue. There are also plastic cleaners and polishes like Plexus that can resist fogging, popular with motorcyclists.
