Not the best episode. Stereotypical black jokes always felt like a low form of comedy. Especially seeing how it never evolved. It stayed the same type of black guy for 20-30 years. All the jokes were done and no one knew any black people to update their idea pass what other white people's idea of black guys were. People who seen a hip hop video once.

This is more so an argument about something just not being funny to me, rather than it being offensive lol.

I'd take either or - it was always bottom of the barrel stuff only made funny by comedians who played with those ideas to such an extent it was ridiculously funny

For that to exist in a cartoon that can go anywhere with anything just always came off across as unimaginative tbh

I felt the same way after they issued an apology during an Adult Swim commercial break for the Aqua Teen Boston bomb scare. It was a surreal 30 seconds

Nope. A lot of Comedians are still doing the jokes they want, they just have to put context on it. Like the other guy in this topic said, they should probably just put a "warning" type deal on it. As long as you're like "look, Im making fun of people who actually think this, they're dumb as fuck" and actually have a smart joke, you can be fine. Chappelle is in everyone's face and no one can take him down, because enough people realize the underlining to his jokes. Or he walks them through it. And good comedians know how to make addressing it funny too, cause they're professionals. They don't whine about not being able to say racist shit all the time with no context or clever writing.

You should watch podcasts, if you think Im lying. Pretty much every single one I watch has racial jokes. But it's in the context of friends joking with each other at the others expense. It's a game people with good humor play and they realize when it's an even playing field. The problem usually comes from one person having all the voice and swinging down while there's no one there to put it in context.

And it very much matters who's in on the joke. Learn to stop being a dick and be clever enough to not rely heavily on putting down other cultures. So much so you'd rather become completely unfunny and angry, instead of just work around not furthering stereotypes with no one to defend themselves there.

Literally watching Tom Segura take a bunch of potshots at Bobby Lee being Asian on his podcast. And it's all in good fun.

This was literally one of the BEST episodes in the entire career of ATHF. Plus it was the return of Boxxy Brown which was missing from the show for a good year before this point.

Fucking CLASSIC episode.

Jeeze, the episode was permanently retired on the official Adult Swim website....I might have to re-buy this dvd box set before they get rid of the episode in the future, all together.
