Solid Snake07 09/26/20 2:51:19 PM #24:	They were exercising a court issued warrant. It was initially a no knock warrant and then was changed to a knock and announce raid warrant. They did knock but there is disagreement on whether or not they announced who they were. The boyfriend says they didn't. they say they did. It doesn't really make a whole lot of sense that they would knock but not announce who they are, that's just making the situation more dangerous for everyone including themselves. That doesn't necessarily mean the boyfriend is lying. I'm sure it was a startling moment and he might not have heard them if they did. Either way, they knock in the door, the boyfriend fired first striking an officer and the officers returned fire and unfortunately this girl was killed in crossfire.
