Either this board is crazy obsessed with Fox News or it's literally the only non-left media they've heard about >_> I've seen it brought up unprovoked what, ten or fifteen times today? Kinda hilarious that this still the go-to defense/deflection whenever somebody questions something.

As for PBS, it wouldn't be terribly surprising if they are siding against Trump because he's threatened PBS's funding in the past (giving them a substantial financial motivation to want him gone) and, like most things dependent on government money, the station is traditionally left-leaning.

They're not exactly centrist, they're further along than that (or, at least they were back when I watched). I'm middle of the road with a slight leftward lean and a small inclination towards libertarianism (the compass tests don't put nearly as far towards libertarianism as I thought I'd be)

PBS government funding should be cut off. Let them compete with private news outlets. And no, Im not making this argument because I dont like their viewpoints and blatant bias (which I dont for the record). Im only arguing the principle of the matter, that its not okay for government to have a chosen pet company that it props up with money that private businesses are expected to compete against. Imagine if government decided it wanted to start a retail chain, shoveled boatloads of taxpayer money into it, all while expecting Walmart and Kroger to compete with it. If you cant see how this is unfair youre just dishonest. If PBS is something people want, let them fund it privately like CNN and FoxNews.

So you're saying, if I understand you correctly, that everyone who wants to see unbiased news coverage should pay for cable and/or streaming services? Doesn't that discriminate against those who can't afford such services from networks like CNN and Fox? PBS is government funded for just that reason, to give those who can't afford CNN and Fox access to viewpoints other than those of either cable or the major news networks. If PBS has become more left leaning recently it's because those voices are being stifled by all these people crying that the right isn't being represented by the mainstream media (which isn't true since most news organizations get their money from their readers and/or viewers who have a conservative bent). The best way to stifle dissent is to starve it for cash, which is what conservatives have been trying to do for decades, so that those points of view aren't heard and/or seen.

I don't see how PBS was hard on Trump. Don't people like Trump because he's an egomanic that wants to own the libs? That's exactly what PBS portrayed. If you think PBS was hard on Trump (as a Trump supporter), maybe you don't actually like Trump, ok?
