Im not trying to pay $70-$80 just for an official Nintendo one. Just looking for one thats a decent size, good grip and reliable sticks. Rumble and wireless controls would be nice too.

i feel like getting the official one which you can be pretty sure is good is gonna be cheaper in the long run

I looked at the Hori and 8bitDo. $45 to $50 isnt bad. At least thats typical for what a controller usually costs these days.

for a controller you'll probably use for, what, 5 years or more, an extra $20 to get a nicer one seems trivial
