For one, this studio isn't known for adding content to remakes, and it's further complicated by the fact that the cut content has been datamined and it was more or less used to make Sen's Fortress. He has the face guard and the wonky eye in the new trailer, so I think they are addressing some concerns with the new look. One of the major complaints I see about it are the changes to the Boletarian Palace design. The new design more closely resembles the gothic architecture of the later Souls games, but those civilizations seemed more advanced than Boletaria. Basically, people were miffed that they changed the supposed time period of the setting. Like something you would have seen in a movie 10-15 years ago misrepresenting what playing a game is actually like. For all the technology clearing on display it was also ugly, like I dont mean the graphics are bad just that nothing about it was aesthetically pleasing.
