Or do you think it's best they just use the same cast, speaking a mixture of vague grunts and short English phrases, for every region?

It'll be interesting to see how they do the Mario movie as well, and who will do the voice acting depending on the language.

I hope they dont ever give Peach a voice actress doing a horrible attempt of a British accent just because the character is royalty.

If theres one thing wrong with Breath of the Wild its Zeldas voice.

Mipha is much worse than Zelda in that game IMO, though I think most of the actors were either poorly directed or miscast, sadly.

Peach, Rosalina, Daisy, and Pauline have all talked before and they have american accents, I'd be surprised if they changed that. Mario and Luigi have some kind of Italian accent (or at least Charles Martinet's facsimile of one lol), and IDK what Wario and Waluigi are.

Bowser only really talked for Mario Sunshine, they went back to monster noises afterward. Sometimes he says a word or two but it's made to sound monstery.

Stfu Zelda's voice is great

Her VA does a bunch of other accented characters and they're convincing enough too

If there's one thing that's for certain it's that Pokemon games need voice acting. There's was nothing more underwhelming than to see Sword/Shield go for some massive big grand setup then have the familiar text box pop up as soon as the announcer started talking to remind you of what game you were in.

Sometimes I say things and I'm not voice acting.

Short little english catchphrases are fine. No need for them to legit speak.
