Went out to Las Vegas to visit the boyfriend and since this stuff is legal there, I figured why not. Anyways, we went to the dispensary and he got us some hazel train craze, I think it was called.

Something like that or whatever concoction. After I had a few puffs, I did felt relaxed a bit. But it's like... my hands and legs felt like I had ice in my veins. Tingly feeling in those areas. It wasn't as effective as I thought it was going to be though. I was kinda hoping I would be laughing my ass off : /

Soo, yeah. Not too bad for my first time smoking some of that doobage. I do want to see what I can find that makes me laugh a bit more though.

Hardly anybody feels it their first time. It's like the brain is still in cannabis first grade and is like "lol sry still learning THC math."

I *high*ly recommend being somewhere chill with people you honestly feel comfortable with and prepare for liftoff your second time.

And remember, you are the pilot of your mind. You're in full control, always.

Ive never experienced having icy veins or anything lol. If anything, my first time had me feeling like everything was stretching away from me. Arms, legs, etc...

Havent felt that since.

Remember to exercise regularly to get it all out of your system in case you get a random test. Also helps to keep tolerance down.

This is true. It takes time for your body to identify it as a "threat" and try to counter it (which is why you get high). It's similar to an allergic reaction.

The "icy veins" thing might be due to reduced blood pressure from smoking. Are you anemic, by chance?

Apples such, and should only be used as a last resort. I guarantee that if you smoke it out of a huge bong, you'd get wasted.

That's why your hands and feet got cold and tingly. Low blood pressure from smoking + anemia = numb tootsies.

I had it last year for the first time and didn't feel anything either. After some time I felt very drowsy like my eyelids were super heavy, that's it. The guy that was with me got high af. Dude was in dreamland. It was the exact same batch too since he bought it all at once from a bunch of thug men and rolled it himself. He was American and was raving about how good our (Caribbean) stuff was. And there I am, utterly underwhelmed. What's funny is that he didn't believe me at all when I told him I didn't smoke. Just because ganja smoking is so common here (cigarettes are not, however). He only believed me when I took the first puff and started hacking all over the place. After that he helped me take some huge deep puffs and let it circulate. Still didn't do shit. Since then I haven't bothered again.

What dispensary did you go to? I live in Vegas but I've only been to a handful of dispensaries. Planet 13 seems like a popular spot. Too crowded for my taste though.

Not every strain gives you the giggles. Different strains have different terpenes which have different effects. The terpene you want for the giggles is 'limonene'. Lemon haze is the most common strain that has a lot of limonene in it.

Most of the people in this thread don't really know what they're talking about

Yea, don't over consume.

The first time I had an edible I had only smoked once before and hadn't gotten high. I ate half the edible, the other half was for my girlfriend at the time as we had agreed to do it together (she had smoked a handful of times and was familiar, I was still fairly anti-drug at this point). After I ate my half, she changed her mind and didn't want hers then...

It started off great, but the experience took a very dark turn and was absolutely horrid. At this point I can compare it to a bad trip on psychedelics, but I didn't have that reference point at the time. I was having looping negative thoughts, seeing weird shit, etc. The next day I was still stoned, but much better. I didn't even realize I was still stoned until I got more familiar with the feeling, but the next day I had the best time playing Street Fighter II with my girlfriend and drinking the best orange soda I have ever tasted.

I didn't try cannabis for a over a year after that experience because it was such a negative experience. But then, after that girlfriend and I broke up and I was suicidally depressed for a combination of reasons, my stoner friends convinced me to try it again and it really helped my depression a lot. Now I smoke fairly regularly!

Anyway, kind of went on a tangent, but my point is that I wouldn't recommend any amount of edibles to a first time or new user. Those things can be potent!

For me the effect of weed really depends on my mood. If I'm angry or something then getting high doesn't do shit to make me happy. If I'm in a cheerful mood then I'll totally get the giggles.

Whenever someone says they smoked weed but didn't feel anything I just assume they didn't inhale properly. It seems pretty common for first time smokers to not inhale all the smoke into their lungs.

Yeah, I've never tried edibles myself because I'm pretty sure it'll just give me anxiety and then put me to sleep. It's because it gets absorbed in your stomach and the THC gets converted to a more potent form that lasts way longer than smoking.
