Zanzenburger 09/13/20 11:31:59 PM #1:	Particularly, where realizing they are in a video game is incorporated into the plot and affects the game going forward. Not like a small subtle comment by an NPC making a reference to controls or something. I know of one or two games that has this as a late game twist (such as ~~Doki Doki Literature Club~~) but I am wondering if there are games where this is the core of the game and it happens early on (or from the start). Bonus points if the character uses the knowledge of being in a video game to its advantage in gaming mechanics (such as hacking or using meta abilities). Re:Dive~~ Note that the original Princess Connect had an entirely different setting where the characters still remembered they were in the game, and the mobage let you bounce between their real life and game selves.
