Do you think Tenet will ultimately lose money when it finally leaves the theatres?

Tenet's box office update has finally been released as Warner Brothers and Sony for that matter have been HIDING grosses and are only releasing them every weekend rather than daily

Tenet made only 6.7M in its second week off last weekend's Labour Day in 2910 locations and is now running a second weekend with 29.5M in North America.

Last weekend's gross of 20M included Canada's 2 week opening as the number was inflated and made only 9.4M not 11.2M as some thought.

The foreign box office gross is at 177.5M with nearing a 200M worldwide gross to date as the movie itself cost 200M but needs more than double just to break even

The only good news from this was PostTrak said audiences gave it a 79% positive despite a B cinemascore and exits went up by 80% and 65% definite recommend, just slightly higher than Dunkirk

Studios are hiding grosses which is irking other rival studios to determine how the market is right now and it's quite obvious that Warner Brothers knows that Tenet will lose money but how much is the question...

Sony's Broken Hearts Gallery earned 1.25M in its 3 days which is a low risk value for the studio that only cost 8M to make

Don't be surprised if other movies begin to delay releases as WB already delayed Wonder Woman to Christmas

Do you think Tenet will ultimately bomb when it's finished its run in theatres?

Why even bother releasing movies right now? It costs next to nothing to store it away until normal times return. You're throwing away tens of millions of dollars by releasing a movie right now.

I wonder if debt need repaid or if money needs to be in for this quarter by some contract.

It's almost like releasing a movie in the middle of the worst pandemic in a hundred years when many theaters are still closed or heavily restricted was a bad idea or something.
