It erupted in August when they debuted a trailer and poster prompting outrage from social media conservatives including Republican Candidate, Buzz Patterson for Congress who demands people cancel Netflix 35 y/o Director, Maimouna Doucoure said she was stunned by the outrage and the poster was not representative of the film at all where twerking 11 y/o girls were featured and dancing provocatively QAnon groups accuse Democrats and Republicans for not speaking out and said this is typical Hollywood exploiting children in films to sexualize children An online petition demanding Netflix make the right choice to cancel the release has gained 600,000 signatures Cuties tells the story of a 11y /o Senegalese Muslim girl named Amy who grew up in a conservative household as she struggled to navigate in liberal western culture and a conservative culture at home.
