Cissnei outliving Cloud and Sephiroth was a XX and XXI event but damn it won't happen in XXII...!!

I don't even like her; she was my joke character this year. I thought she'd go in boots anyway, When that didn't happen she started picking up some actual support, conveniently right around the time I had to fully focus on BD.

Alright, BONUS STATS TIME!!

Instead of series-saver stats I had another thing I wanted to check out, the 25 new/re-entrant stats and how they compare to past contests.

Here's how it looks so far for XXII - anyone who's still in is sorted alphabetically - and the final placements for the 25 new entrants or re-entrants in XXI and XX (also I abbreviated Ashe's name since it was too long, and for whatever reason forgot Jessie's last name, well, everyone else has their "official" contest names at least... maybe)



So we can see that this year got off to a rougher start relative to last year, being as far "back" as 15 places at the time of the Setzer/Zenos eliminations; but have since normalized and are tracking comparably.

XX looks like it was especially brutal, I wonder how it'd compare to XIX and if it was an aberration or that's how it always was before the last contest, and this+last year are the real aberration (or the new normal, of people being a bit better at saving the characters they nominate in).

Also, while not tracking "brand new" characters in each year, it does remind me that top "brand new" in XX was X-ATM092 finishing 41st place, whereas Goffard went to 13th place last year. And we still have 6 (Ardyn, Ba'Gamnan, Dark Nation, Emet-Selch, Jessie and Judgemaster Cid) as brand new characters this year so are guaranteed a top "new" placement better than X-ATM's, at least.

But here's the biggest surprise that I never really realized before now; both 3rd and 2nd place the last two contests were newly-returned entrants that year. Could it happen again????

(let the record show I predicted Top 5 Kain Highwind while we were still in hard boots... just saying!!!)

No instances of a new entrant being eliminated in the same place each of the past three contests but can still be achieved with eliminations in 41st, 35th, 30th, 3rd or 2nd place.
