It uses an Xbox kinect camera to "see ghosts". It maps them out in stick figures using an IR grid. It can see in total darkness as well.

Nah, any ol camera can be IR that has a night vision mode. We've got two camcorders with bright IR spotlights on em.

This camera's man gimmick is it uses the technology of xbox kinect. If the SLS camera is turned on and you look at it through the view of another IR camera you will see this big grid thing shinning on anything that's in front of it. So theoretically if a ghost is in front of it it can then map out it's shape using that stick figure format and you won't even see what it's seeing on the other IR camera.

I've been watching them use them on various ghost shows for a long time and I think they are legit enough. Howm'ever a big part of being a good ghost hunter is to not think everything that happens is a ghost. Just as with all our other equipment, anything we capture will be reviewed with a grain of salt.

I've done 6 overnights in multiple haunted locations. You can sit at your computer and say it's not real but I assure it is. This isn't my first rodeo and we've captured numerous unexplained things.

Lol absolutely positive. We always do a complete walk through during the day light. I have equipment that detects electricity for this reason. Unless they were using, as my boy lysander said, "magic", idk how they would trick us.

I've always had an interest since I was a kid. When I got older me and my buddy decided to go out and see for ourselves instead of watching other people do it on tv. Five years later we've been to four locations and caught some pretty unexplainable stuff. Voices when no one is talking, lights that aren't there, just weird stuff

I've seen this posted so many times and no. These are abandoned buildings barely kept up by the owners that we've gone into. Long since shutdown hospitals and insane asylums. And we've not met an owner yet that wasn't an extremely genuine person. Hell the last place we went the guy bought his old shutdown elementary school just to save it from being demolished. If we thought someone was trying to pull the wool over our eyes we'd pick up on it.

It honestly just raises more questions than answers lol. Life seemed simpler when I thought everyone just went to heaven or hell, or that when people died there was nothing at all.

Now your in this building wondering why people's spirits or whatever the fuck it is is roaming around this abandoned hospital seemingly stuck in an infinite loop.

Energy is neither created or destroyed. When people die, it goes somewhere, and I think a lot of people misinterpret what some people refer to as a "ghost" in a sense. Consider how a battery works, Davelis Cave near Athens is a prime example. There are constantly voices captured there, speaking in greek, at times chanting, singing. It's not an intelligent haunting or phenomenon, but rather the right minerals like limestone in the correct weather conditions with static in the air that record moments in time and they are replayed. It's not a ghost stuck there, it's residual energy that plays back.

A lot of people think when people discuss this stuff that we think invisible spirits of intelligent ghosts are just wandering around everywhere. Like GF said, there's a hell of a lot more questions raised than answers, but as someone who experienced things myself, there's something to it. I don't know if I believe any of it is intelligent or conscious.

The difference is you personally investigate, I never have, and I have a lot of trouble trusting television in regards to what's legitimate and what isn't. You saying this helps a lot, as far as the answers to direct questions aspect. I'm familiar with the places you are investigating, i've been to both towns multiple times. Winchester has a cool little movie theater that looks like it's stuck in the 50s.

Nevermind, I thought you meant Winchester TN which is close to South Pittsburgh TN, didn't realize the Winchester you meant was Indiana when I looked up the location of that asylum.

Haha yea was thinking that would be pretty coincidental for you to have gone to random ass Winchester, Indiana. But really tho man, if your curious about it and you say you've had things happen to you, get a buddy and get out there and investigate a place for a night and see what happens. You can buy a voice recorder and use it for EVPs which is the easiet thing to do without spending money on cameras and other equipment.

I was pretty let down by the ghost adventures movie they did on that. Zak sat on it for to long and it was mostly two hours of people just talking about their experiences. He did one tiny baby investigation and that was it. But I can't really blame him, I don't fuck with anything suspected of being demonic. I don't have the experience or spiritual fortitude nor the desire to mess with it.
